It’s been so many years since I’ve played any Team Fortress or Team Fortress Classic, but I still remember just how fun the game was. It’s difficult for me to pin point what made the game so much fun, perhaps playing as the spy and knifing enemies was what made me love TF or was it the raw firepower of the heavy weapons guy. Anyhow, when I heard news of Team Fortress 2 I was really looking forward to playing it, many years passed since the initial announcement, I finally gave up hope and filed TF2 under vaporware.

Now here we are on the verge of the release of a game I thought was vaporware, it’s really hard for me to believe, the excitement I once felt years ago has come back. The art direction of TF2 is simply brilliant, it reminds me of the Pixar movie “The Incredibles”. Rather than going for realism TF2 takes a more cartoony approach, the appearance of the game gives it a real unique feel to it. TF2 has turned out to be a visually appealing game, but how will the game play hold up, or should I say fun factor, is anyone’s guess.
