that's a tough one, I'm really not sure what could be going on, I do know of a forum that would help you a lot more than I could.

Myloforums.net

They have an excellent mylo community, I think they should be able to help troubleshoot loading videos onto your mylo.

You'll need to add them as your device folder, as indicated in the guide in the step titled "Device Folder". Try each drive once and see if it works, you can't do both at the same time.

That's fine if the drive letters are K and L, then you should try using those as your device folder. Try either one, see if K or L works for you, let me know how it goes.

To find out what drive letter your mylo is internal/external memory. In Windows XP go to Start > My Computer, once you have the My Computer window open connect your Sony Mylo and you will see new drive letters appear, take note of what the new drive letters are.

Nik,

Here's a few things to check:

1. Assuming you are running Windows XP go to Start > Computer check to see what drive letter your mylo shows as when it's connected to your computer, there may be 2 if you also have a memory stick in your mylo, tell me what the drive letters are.

If you do see two different drive letters try to use either one in the device folder step of the tutorial.

2. You could also try setting the device folder to your desktop, converting the video, then opening the video on your desktop and seeing if it plays at all, this will insure that your video was encoded correctly in the first place.

It's true, devices can't be much smaller than our hands, but what if in the future we control devices with our minds, then hand size would become an irrelevant factor in designing the navigation keys and UI.

Definitely an interesting topic you brought up, I never really thought about how far technology would go, or what direction it's heading in.

But if you think for a moment, taking the calculator for example, it use to be this full fledged device, now you can find calculators in all sorts of mobile gadgets, not as the main attraction like in the past, but as an extra feature.

Maybe that is what will happen to other technologies, like cameras will keep shrinking while still managing decent quality photos, and they will be seen just like the calculator is today, just as an extra feature and not the main attraction for a device.

Devices with lots of features all packed into one, convergence I guess you could call it.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how we as humans seem to be the limit of how far we push technology. For example our eyes can only see so many colors, so many pixels or dots per square inch. Another big limit is our hands, portable gadgets have to be at least large enough for us to control it with our hands. It became real apparent when I started using some of the latest cell phones that were pushing the limits of portable tech, trying to shrink cell phones to the smallest size possible while still remaining usable.

So do you guys think there will always be room for improvement or do you feel we will eventually hit a human limit?
