Tired of choppy video playback on your new Sony Mylo? We were too, learn how to encode videos for the Sony Mylo using free software, PSP Video9.
- Get PSPvideo9
- Create Mylo Profile, in Setup, left side navigation menu, under Profiles Tab.
- Click “New Profile” in the top right.
- In the Profile Name blank, type your preferred profile name, in my example I used Mylo-High, which indicates these are the high quality settings.
- Now change your Video and Audio settings to match exactly what you see on the example picture.
- Hit apply to save the new profile.
Note: If you wish to make a Mylo-Low quality settings, set bitrate to 384 kbps under Video Settings. I would recommending making 2 profile settings one for High and Low, you can do this later.
Adjust Settings Tab
- Change “One-Click Profile:” to the new profile you just made, in my example it was Mylo-High.
- “Out-put Videos to:” This blank can be changed to anything you wish, choose a folder that is easy for you to find, for example, you could assign this to a desktop folder for easy access.
- “PSP Drive” You need to set the folder to X:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 Where X stands for the Drive letter of your Sony Mylo’s internal memory or memory stick pro duo. To find the Sony Mylo’s internal memory drive, connect your Sony Mylo to your PC, go to Start—->My Computer—->Removable Disk. The folder setup should look similar to the picture below, in the top left you can find the drive name and type that into your “PSP Drive” blank, so in my example mine would read F:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01.
- Make sure the rest of the settings match up to the example picture. (don’t change Video Number leave this at default)
- It’s very important that “Default Copy Folder:” is set to SP and not AVC.
- Hit Save.

- Wait and get a drink, run around the block, to avoid computer geek booty (which is the result of hours upon hours of sitting in the same chair, the result? Pancake booty.)
- Come back after a nice run to find your video has completed encoding.
Note: Try not to have too many other applications running during the video conversion, CPU intensive applications could cause errors in the video encoding.
